Job summary

Unlimited Technology is seeking an entry-level Systems Administrator I to join our Corporate IT team in Herndon, VA. The role provides tier 1/2 support, endpoint administration, and identity management within a regulated defense contracting environment.

The successful candidate will grow from day-to-day user support to broader systems administration responsibilities, reporting to the Corporate IT lead and gaining exposure to infrastructure, identity, and compliance operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong IT fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP networking.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
• Willingness to work from the Herndon, VA office a minimum of three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide tier 1 and tier 2 technical support to internal staff.
• Image, configure, and deploy workstations and mobile devices.
• Onboard and offboard users, including account provisioning and mailbox configuration.
• Administer Active Directory and Microsoft 365 user accounts and groups.
• Support Entra ID and Intune device enrollment and compliance policies.
• Maintain office network equipment and conference room technology.
• Assist with endpoint security, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.
• Support documentation for compliance requirements (CMMC/NIST).
• Document work in the ticketing system and communicate with end users.
• Participate in infrastructure and migration projects as assigned.
