Job summary

Liberty University is seeking an IT Infrastructure Administrator to maintain permission assignments across applications and services for all employees. The role also coordinates incident response based on monitoring alerts and user-reported issues, ensuring timely remediation.

You will manage monitoring tools, apply patches to Windows and Linux servers, and maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure and services. Onsite work is required, with a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of IT experience or equivalent training.

  • Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch).

Job description

Maintain permission assignments to applications and services for all employees. Manage monitoring tools. Maintain patches for Windows and Linux servers. Maintain documentation of infrastructure and services. Coordinate incident response based on monitoring alerts & user-reported issues. Datacenter access control and daily walk-throughs. Manage engineer on-call lists and handle phone calls.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

60% - Maintain permission assignments to applications and services for all employees.

25% - Coordinate incident response based on monitoring alerts & user-reported issues.

5% - Manage monitoring tools.
5% - Maintain patches for Windows and Linux servers.
5% - Maintain documentation of infrastructure and services.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS

1-3 years of experience in IT or equivalent training. Experience within customer support.

Good verbal / written communication skills. Ability to follow complex verbal / written instructions. Ability to multi-task. CompTIA Network+/Security+ / MCSA/RHCSA / LPI Linux Essentials. Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch).

Completed a degree in IT or Computer Science-related field. Proficient with one or more scripting / programming languages (Python, Go, Java, Powershell). Familiar with containerization and CI/CD pipelines.

To obtain LU-approved driver certification, individuals must be 21 years of age or older, possess a valid driver's license with a minimum of five (5) years of documented driving history, and maintain a clean driving record.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Current shifts available:

7PM-7AM Sunday - Tuesday and every other Wednesday (Days denote the start of the shift)

7PM-7AM Thursday-Saturday and every other Wednesday (Days denote the start of the shift)

Onsite work required.

Pay Range

Compensation is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, along with University needs and external market conditions. Market benchmarks may be used, as appropriate, in combination with internal equity to ensure pay is fair and aligned with the broader compensation structure.

The position may also be eligible for comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and tuition assistance.

$60,000.00 - $65,000.00
