Job summary

Bankers Trust in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Systems Administrator I to maintain and support information technology systems and networks, including servers, networks, and voice systems. The role collaborates with end-users and the Technology team to resolve issues with a focus on superior customer service.

The position requires a two-year degree in computer science or equivalent and at least four years of IT experience in a highly available environment.

Responsibilities

• Configures, maintains and troubleshoots the information technology systems and networks for the Bank.
• Serves as escalation point for tier 1 Service Desk staff by providing advanced technical guidance and solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex computer hardware, software, network issues, and resolve them in a timely manner.
• Ensures systems are thoroughly tested, configured and installed according to defined standards, practices, and regulatory requirements
• Monitors and supports bank systems and alerts management of any performance or security issues
• Creates and maintains configuration diagrams, installation scripts and documentation
• Provides superior customer service to all employees at multiple locations
• Performs other duties as assigned

Job Summary:

The Systems Administrator I is responsible for the maintenance, support, and troubleshooting of information technology systems and networks used at the Bank. This position should be familiar in the areas of server and network administration, voice systems, as well as personal computer support. This position will work with end-users and the Technology team to address and resolve problems and questions and will exhibit superior customer service skills.

Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:

• Configures, maintains and troubleshoots the information technology systems and networks for the Bank.
• Serves as an escalation point for tier 1 Service Desk staff by providing advanced technical guidance and solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex computer hardware, software, network issues, and resolve them in a timely manner.
• Ensures systems are thoroughly tested, configured and installed according to defined standards, practices, and regulatory requirements
• Monitors and supports bank systems and alerts management of any performance or security issues
• Creates and maintains configuration diagrams, installation scripts and documentation
• Provides superior customer service to all employees at multiple locations
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

• Two-year degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
• At least four years of experience working with information technology in a highly available environment

Specific Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

• Knowledge of Windows server maintenance and troubleshooting required
• Knowledge of Exchange Server maintenance and troubleshooting required
• Knowledge of network and voice systems installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting required
• Specific Knowledge of Five9, Freshservice ticketing system, Docusign, Meraki, Certero is a plus.
• Knowledge of Banking/Financial Institution regulatory requirements is helpful

Hiring Salary Range

The hiring range below reflects targeted base salary. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s prior related experience & education and will be finalized at the time of offer. In addition to base salary, most positions are also eligible to participate in our annual bonus program. Select positions may also be eligible to earn incentives and/or commissions. Hiring Base Salary Range: $58,000 - $69,000 plus annual bonus.
