Job summary

Chainalysis Government Solutions seeks a Systems Administrator - Government Deployments to operate, secure, and optimize Chainalysis tech within classified U.S. Intelligence environments.

You will sustain production architectures and ensure availability, security, and compliance across the deployment lifecycle. You will collaborate with customer system owners and internal CGS teams, focusing on sustainment rather than new deployments, and you must work on-site in the Washington, D.C.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph required at start.
• U.S. citizenship required; position not open for visa sponsorship.
• 5+ years in systems administration or technical delivery within classified environments.
• Hands-on with C2S/AWS and core cloud services (EC2, VPC, ELB, RDS, S3, EBS).
• Strong Linux and Windows admin background, with web infra (Apache, WSGI, PostgreSQL).
• Proven security engineering experience; RMF and STIG compliance.
• Solid networking foundation (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, firewalls).
• Virtualization expertise (VMware/Hyper-V/KVM).
• Documentation, troubleshooting, ownership mindset; works independently on secure sites.

Responsibilities

• Systems Administration & Production Operations: install and maintain Linux/Windows in government environments; manage IaaS like EC2, VPC, RDS, S3; oversee web Infra (Apache, WSGI, PostgreSQL).
• System Maintenance & Release Management: lead upgrades, patches, config changes, and deployments; coordinate maintenance windows.
• Security, Hardening & Compliance: maintain RMF/STIG compliance; remediate vulnerabilities; configure security controls.
• Network & Integration Engineering: configure/test TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, firewall rules; enable secure data transfer.
• Backup, Recovery & Operational Resilience: implement backups, recovery procedures, DR testing; identify single points of failure.
• Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration: partner with customer owners and CGS teams; develop SOPs and runbooks.
