Job summary

Our client, a long‑standing engineering and technology organization in Ann Arbor, MI, seeks a System Administrator to support, secure and maintain their computing infrastructure on site. The role covers Windows and Linux administration, patching, incident response, and vulnerability management across servers and workstations.

Candidate must be a U.S. citizen with an active security clearance or the ability to obtain one, plus 3+ years in a related IT role and an IT degree or higher.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must possess a current government security clearance or be able to obtain one.
• Associate degree or higher in Information Technology or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in Help Desk, Systems Administrator, or related IT infrastructure role.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot hardware, software and servers.
• Administer Windows and Linux operating systems across desktop and server environments.
• Perform system patching and security updates.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and access.
• Monitor system logs and assist in incident response.
• Support vulnerability management and remediation efforts.
• Develop and maintain IT security programs and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and regulatory requirements.
• Configure and maintain desktop, laptop, server and network hardware.
