Our client is looking for a SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR located in Ann Arbor, MI.

SUMMARY

Our client is a well-established engineering and technology organization that has been providing system engineering and software solutions to the U.S. government and private industry for nearly 50 years. They are seeking a highly motivated System Administrator to join their team and support the administration, security, and maintenance of their computing infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, workstations, servers, and peripherals.
• Administer Windows and Linux operating systems across both desktop and server environments.
• Perform system patching, operating system updates, and security updates.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access.
• Monitor and review system logs to identify potential issues or security concerns.
• Participate in incident response and troubleshooting activities.
• Support vulnerability management initiatives and remediation efforts.
• Develop, document, monitor, and report on IT security programs in accordance with applicable management, operational, and technical controls.
• Assist with maintaining compliance with applicable IT security policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Configure and maintain desktop, laptop, server, and network hardware.
• Provide technical training and guidance to staff as needed.
• Serve as a technical resource to management and other employees.
• Communicate regularly with internal staff and external organizations regarding technical initiatives, projects, and updates.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and system procedures.
• Work both independently and collaboratively to resolve technical issues and support organizational initiatives.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

U.S. Citizenship is required. Must possess a current government security clearance in good standing or have the ability to obtain one. Associate degree or higher in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Help Desk, Systems Administrator, or related IT infrastructure role.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA Security, or equivalent certification.
• Experience working with NIST, RMF, and other cybersecurity regulations, standards, and procedures applicable to the Department of Defense (DoD).
• Experience with DISA STIGs and SCAP tools.
• Familiarity with Windows and BASH scripting.
• Experience with Windows and Linux auditing, audit settings, and audit review.

SECURITY CLEARANCE

This position requires a government security clearance. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens to be considered.

This is a 100% on-site position based at the company's facility in Ann Arbor, MI.
