Job summary

Atlas Search is seeking a hands-on Systems Administrator / Desktop Support to join a small IT team in Menlo Park. The role covers desktop support, systems administration, security, and infrastructure, with a focus on user-facing service and practical IT operations.

The ideal candidate will troubleshoot laptops, onboard/offboard employees, manage Microsoft 365 and AD/Entra ID, and assist with CrowdStrike and Intune.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in desktop support or a hands-on IT role in a corporate setting.
• Strong experience supporting Windows and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Hands-on with Active Directory and/or Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience with provisioning, permissions, and onboarding/offboarding.
• Experience managing corporate endpoints.
• Familiarity with CrowdStrike Falcon or similar EDR.
• Understanding of SOX controls in audited environments.
• Strong troubleshooting across laptops, apps, networking, and end-user tech.
• Excellent communication and customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on desktop and end-user support for hardware, software, and connectivity.
• Serve as a visible IT resource with in-person and remote support.
• Set up laptops, workstations, mobile devices, monitors, and peripherals.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding, including provisioning and device deployment.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services: Outlook/Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint.
• Manage users, groups, permissions, and access in Active Directory and Entra ID.
• Support identity management, MFA, SSO, and user provisioning.
• Manage Windows endpoints via Intune and Autopilot.
• Support CrowdStrike Falcon deployment, policy management, monitoring, and incident response.
• Assist with SOX IT controls, change management, and audit requests.
• Troubleshoot networking (Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP) and conference room tech.
• Assist with patching, software deployments, backups, and routine maintenance.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and SOPs.
