Job summary

Maximus Partners, LLC is seeking a D365 Administration & System Ownership professional to serve as the primary owner and administrator for all D365 Finance & Operations environments in a Philadelphia-area setting.

The role requires coordinating with IT governance, providing end-to-end user support, and collaborating with external partners during module rollouts to ensure clean data entities and optimized exports for BI reporting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of direct, hands-on experience providing D365 Finance & Operations (AX/D365 F&O) application support, functional administration, and system troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary internal owner and administrator for all D365 F&O environments, managing security roles, configuration maintenance, environment hygiene, and system health.
• Partner with the Director of IT to align platform administrative workflows with IT governance and operational priorities.
• Act as the single point of contact for all D365 F&O issues across facilities—diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving tickets without escalation.
• Collaborate with external implementation partners during new module rollouts to learn configurations and workflows and take over post-implementation support.
• Work with the Senior Database Administrator to ensure D365 data entities, Dataverse tables, and export syncs are clean and optimized for BI tools.

D365 Administration & System Ownership

• Serve as the primary internal owner and administrator for all D365 Finance & Operations environments, managing security roles, configuration maintenance, environment hygiene, and system health.
• Partner closely with the Director of IT to align platform administrative workflows with overall IT governance and operational priorities.

Single-Point Triage & End-to-End Support

• Act as the ultimate, single point of contact for all D365 F&O issues across all facilities—autonomously diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving both routine user tickets and advanced functional/technical system challenges without escalation tiers.
• Provide patient, empathetic end-user support, troubleshooting assistance, and practical system guidance to site personnel and managers.

Partner Collaboration & Rapid Knowledge Transfer

• Work directly alongside external implementation partners during new module rollouts to rapidly learn system configurations, workflows, and custom logic.
• Seamlessly pick up ongoing support, administration, and maintenance responsibilities for newly deployed D365 modules immediately following partner handover.
• Collaborate directly with our Senior Database Administrator in our lean environment to ensure D365 data entities, Dataverse tables, and export syncs are clean and optimized for enterprise reporting and business intelligence (BI) tools.
• Maintain rigorous transactional data integrity and standard entity definitions within D365 F&O to support business analytics.
• Actively gather, embrace, and integrate feedback from end-users, business stakeholders, and the Director of IT to continually refine system usability, user experience, and support workflows.
• Maintain a constructive, solution-oriented mindset—viewing user and leadership feedback as valuable insights to drive continuous system and personal performance enhancements.

Required Qualifications & Technical Experience

• 4+ years of direct, hands-on experience providing D365 Finance & Operations (AX/D365 F&O) application support, functional administration, and system troubleshooting.
• Proven F&O Core Capabilities: Deep practical understanding of core D365 F&O modules (Finance, Supply Chain, Inventory, Warehouse Management [WMS], Procurement, or Operations).
• Rapid Adapter: Demonstrated capability to quickly learn new D365 modules from implementation partners and transition seamlessly into post-implementation support.
• Platform Integration Familiarity: Basic exposure to Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps), Dataverse, and entity management for data extraction/reporting.
• Lean Team Agility: Experience operating effectively in small, high-impact IT departments where self-reliance, adaptability, and teamwork are essential.
• Self-Sustaining Operator: Proven track record of independently managing end-to-end user issues and system administration without relying on tier-2 or tier-3 internal escalation paths.
