Job summary

Goosehead Insurance is seeking a Systems Administrator to manage and optimize our enterprise infrastructure, including servers, cloud services, identity platforms, virtualization, storage, and backup solutions. The role emphasizes security, reliability, and efficient operations to support business objectives.

Responsibilities include monitoring, patching, automation, and collaborating with IT teams and vendors to deliver secure technology solutions while maintaining compliance with security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years administering enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience with Windows Server, AD, M365, Entra ID.
• Experience with VMware vSphere or Hyper-V.
• Experience with Azure and cloud services.
• Experience with backup, DR, and monitoring.
• PowerShell scripting and automation preferred.
• Industry certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain enterprise server, cloud, virtualization, and storage environments.
• Manage core infrastructure services including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security to ensure reliable business operations.
• Implement and support infrastructure security controls, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
• Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, system, and service-related issues.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts, technical documentation, and operational procedures.
• Support infrastructure projects, system upgrades, migrations, and technology implementations.
• Participate in on-call support and after-hours maintenance activities as required.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver secure and reliable technology solutions.
