Job summary

Vatn Systems is seeking an experienced integration engineer to lead Jira and Confluence integrations within our SEIT team. You will design pipelines, APIs, and automations that sync Jira/Confluence with internal tooling across AUV programs.

You’ll work with engineering, program management, and operations to translate workflows into integration requirements, troubleshoot, and maintain data integrity. US citizenship is required due to defense-related projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on Atlassian ecosystem experience (Jira, Confluence, and ideally Bitbucket).
• Experience building on Atlassian REST APIs (Jira Cloud/Server, Confluence Cloud/Server) and/or Forge/Connect.
• Strong communicator who can work with non-technical stakeholders to scope integration needs.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Summary

We're looking for an individual with deep experience in the Atlassian ecosystem (Jira, Confluence) to sit on our Systems Engineering, Integration & Test (SEIT) team and lead integration work connecting these tools with our internal systems. You'll design and build the pipelines, APIs, and automations that keep Jira and Confluence in sync with our internal tooling — helping us track and manage engineering data across our AUV programs and get more leverage out of our existing Atlassian investment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Jira Service Management, Atlassian Marketplace apps, or admin/scripting (e.g., ScriptRunner)
• Familiarity with Atlassian Data Center/Cloud migrations
• Experience working in a defense, aerospace, robotics, or hardware manufacturing environment
