Job description

DSI is seeking a Systems Administrator. This position requires a self-starting technical and functional candidate with familiarity and experience with large-scale Microsoft application installations and Microsoft Server installations, as well as infrastructure support. This candidate will be required to become familiar with DSI's AEON functionality and be able to manage, coordinate, and drive multi-team staff through a disciplined and successful AEON solution installation process, as well as successfully deploy, install, configure, support, and maintain the servers and systems that support DSI's AEON platform on-premise and/or in Cloud as well as provide support for Office 365 and DSI users.


Job Duties:
  1. Proactively manage and support existing infrastructure, networks, applications, and solution systems and structures.
  2. Establish systems by planning, executing, installing, configuring, and testing PC, servers, hardware, software, LAN, WAN networks, and operating and system management systems; define system and operational policies and procedures.
  3. Maintain system performance by monitoring and analyzing, tuning, and running security scans.
  4. Assist with planned and unplanned customer software deployments and AEON Knowledge Base updates, utilizing a matrix team of staff across DSI who provide expertise in web-based application and installation, AEON functionality, and AEON Account Management.
  5. Document and maintain customer test and production environments and processes to ensure that DSI installs conform to customer processes and that DSI and the customer are aligned regarding each process step's state, timing, and success.
  6. Act as a Tier-3 support participant to resolve help desk tickets, calls, and/or change requests where installation/application configuration may be an issue.
  7. Participate in infrastructure architecture and testing strategy, create and execute PowerShell scripts, and maintain all production and development systems.

Required Skills:
  1. You must have an Active TS/SCI with polygraph ONLY; all others need not apply.
  2. 3-7 years as a Systems Analyst or related work experience in technical IT operation.
  3. Experience with VMWare and Microsoft Technology Stack.
  4. Experience and understanding of Microsoft infrastructure architecture components for .NET applications in sufficient detail to understand version terminologies and verifications.
  5. Experience with Microsoft Server administration, e.g., Windows Servers, Active Directory, TFS, SharePoint, SQL, etc.
  6. Experience with security configurations, SSL, TLS, and appropriate compliance.
  7. Experience with LAN and WAN configurations and setup, including Group Policies and Windows Security.
  8. Experience with the creation and execution of PowerShell scripts.
  9. Experienced in reviewing and applying security patches.
  10. Experience monitoring Audit Logs and ensuring compliance.
  11. Experience in applying and managing a pipeline for system updates, hotfixes, and maintaining networks across multiple domains.
  12. Experience assisting/developing system documentation, including system outages, DR, diagrams, etc.
  13. Experience with software development and maintenance practices and methodologies.
  14. Familiarity and experience with Office 365, Cloud infrastructure and support.
  15. Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
  16. Ability to interact professionally with diverse executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  17. Self-starter, adaptable, and process-oriented, providing various project support levels.
  18. Collaboration with ISSM/ISO on critical needs.
  19. Excellent teamwork, organizational, and time-management skills.

Applicants must successfully achieve the appropriate Security and/or Background Check status for support under any contract.


Desired Skills:
  1. Experience in gathering requirements, design, and testing phases of software is a plus.
  2. Familiarity with FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST, and/or CISSP.
  3. Familiarity with ITIL Foundation Version 3.
  4. Experience with Agile and Scrum processes.
  5. Experience with Federal acquisition and procurement processes.
