Stratum Networks is a rapidly growing information assurance and cybersecurity solutions company that provides high-end network and security consulting to Department of Defense and Intelligence Community clients. We are looking for a talented and passionate candidate who would support one of our clients located in Annapolis Junction, MD.

CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AN ACTIVE TS/SCI WITH POLYGRAPH TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION.

Job Description:

The System Administrator (SA) Skill Level 2 provides support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and related processes. Supports day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution. Communicates status updates to management and internal customers. Supports dispatch system and hardware issues, remaining involved in resolution. Configures and manages UNIX and Windows OS, installs/loads OS software, troubleshoots, maintains system integrity, and configures network components to improve reliability and performance.

Provides technical support and troubleshooting for network, desktop, and hardware/software issues.
• May coach less experienced professionals.
• Applies diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions.
• Provides remote support through desktop mirroring and remote access applications.
• Investigates and resolves problems related to cloud infrastructure.

This is an immediate long-term position with a shift from 10pm-6am, Monday to Friday.
Training will be scheduled Mon-Fri 6am-2pm or 7am-3pm.
Salary ranges from $104k to $180k depending on experience and contract. Benefits include up to 3 weeks paid vacation, 11 paid holidays, immediate healthcare eligibility, and a 401(k) plan with employer match.

Qualifications:

Must meet contract level requirements for the position. Ten (10) years of system administrator experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 5 additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
