Job summary

Linchpin Solutions is seeking a Systems Administrator to support DoD-grade IT systems in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on account management, access controls, system availability, and CAC/ECA access in compliance with security requirements.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in system or network administration, with DoD/CAC familiarity, Windows/Linux server basics, and IAT Level II certification. Onsite, Monday–Friday, full-time, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance

Work Schedule: Onsite, Full-time, Monday–Friday

Role Overview:

The Systems Administrator supports IT systems used to execute program operations. This role assists with account management, access controls, and system availability in compliance with DoD security requirements. Responsibilities include supporting CAC/ECA access, maintaining system accounts, assisting with cybersecurity compliance, and supporting government systems connectivity.

General Skillset

• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work both collaboratively and individually
• Critical Thinking Skills
• Ability to give presentations and briefings as needed

Specific Skillset

• Basic understanding of Windows and/or Linux server administration
• Familiarity with Active Directory, user account management, and permissions
• Experience with system monitoring and troubleshooting techniques
• Knowledge of network fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
• Ability to perform system backups, updates, and patch management
• Understanding of security best practices in a DoD environment
• Ability to follow documentation and standard operating procedures
