Job summary

Envision Innovative Solutions seeks a motivated Systems Administrator to join our team in Columbia, Maryland onsite. The role supports Tier I/II help desk activities, and duties span UNIX and Windows OS administration, network components, and device management.

Required are 5 years of related experience and a technical bachelor's degree or equivalent substitution. A current TS/SCI with Polygraph is required for this role.

Qualifications

• 5 years' related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or five years of SA experience may substitute for a degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Communicates status to agency management and internal customers.
• Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads OS software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components.

This is an onsite position.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc,
• Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
• Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with Implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance

Required Skills:

• 5 years' related experience
• Bachelors degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree.

Security Clearance Requirement:

• Current/Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
