Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in systems administration.
• Strong ability to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot operating systems, hardware, and network systems.
• Experience performing system backups, upgrades, and providing technical support to users.

Responsibilities

• Administers, develops, runs tests on, implements, and maintains operating systems and related software.
• Establishes and implements standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software.
• Troubleshoots and resolves software, operating system, and networking problems.
• Schedules, performs, and monitors system backups.
• Recommends hardware and software upgrades.
• Schedules, plans, and performs system upgrades.
• Configures hardware, such as workstations, printers, servers, and tape devices.
• Provides technical support for system users.

Skills

5+ years of experience in systems administration

Strong ability to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot operating systems

Experience performing system backups and providing technical support

Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a related field

Envision is seeking a motivated, career, and customer-oriented Systems Administrator to join our team. This position is available at multiple locations, including Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland; Fort Belvoir, VA; Huntsville, AL; Austin, TX; Tobyhanna Army Depot, PA; Letterkenny Army Depot, PA; and Lakehurst, NJ.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administers, develops, runs tests on, implements, and maintains operating systems and related software.
• Establishes and implements standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters.
• Troubleshoots and resolves software, operating system, and networking problems.
• Schedules, performs, and monitors system backups and, when necessary, performs data recoveries.
• Recommends hardware and software upgrades according to growth statistics and disk space forecasts.
• Schedules, plans, and performs system upgrades, including coordinating the transition from test to production environments.
• Schedules tasks using software support tools and scripts.
• Configures hardware, such as workstations, printers, servers, and tape devices.
• Provides technical support for system users.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in systems administration
• Strong ability to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot operating systems, hardware, and network systems
• Experience performing system backups, upgrades, and providing technical support to users

Desired Skills:
