Job summary

State of Missouri is seeking a Systems Administration Technician in Jefferson City to design, deploy, and administer SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365 Teams, and Power Platform. You will work with IT management and other units to implement governance and ensure compliant content.

The role requires a degree, experience with SharePoint/Teams/Power Platform, and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical staff. Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and AI tools is valued.

Why You’ll Love This Position

As a Systems Administration Technician, this individual will report to the M365 Productivity and Collaboration Supervisor within Enterprise IT Operations. This position will work closely with IT Management and other functional areas to design, develop, deploy and administer SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365 Teams and Power Platform. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work with technical, non-technical, or vendor staff. They will help establish and implement data governance policies, plus verify that document management and content are compliant with those governance policies.

This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting Enterprise IT Operations.

• Support Enterprise SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365 Teams and Power Platform functional areas.

• Associate or bachelor’s degree. Preferred emphasis on Information Technology. Military training and experience in Information Technology will also be considered.
• Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and Power Platform Administration.
• General knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Pages.
• Working knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure and Server Administration.
• Fundamental understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools, Operations and Security.
• Experience with project management, knowledge of methodologies and best practices.
• Proven ability to take initiative, multi-task, prioritize assignments and work in a team environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and work demands.
• Skill in critical thinking and problem-solving.
• Skill in the analysis and evaluation of system issues.
• Ability to mentor, coach, and develop skills of staff.
