Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Education Coordinator for System Wide Sterile Processing to develop, coordinate, and lead standardized orientation, training, and competency programs across Mercyhealth locations. You will ensure compliance with regulatory standards and partner with infection prevention and clinical leaders to support quality improvement.

You’ll implement a system-wide education plan for onboarding and ongoing staff development in hospital and clinic settings, lead a Train the Trainer

Qualifications

• Minimum Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years sterile processing and/or OR/surgical technician experience.
• CRCST or CPSPDT credentials from HSPA/CBSPD.
• CIS or CSIS credentials from HSPA.
• CHL or CSPM credentials from HSPA.

Responsibilities

• Lead system-wide sterile processing training and competency.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidance.
• Develop and implement education curricula and audit processes.
• Collaborate with SPD leadership to monitor quality and performance.
