Job summary

County of Santa Clara is seeking a visionary Chief Pharmacy Officer to lead system-wide medication management across inpatient, outpatient, and specialty services. You will shape enterprise strategy, governance, and safety programs to ensure high-quality, equitable care across the health system.

The role requires a California Pharmacist license and multi-site leadership experience within a large health system, with a focus on compliance, budgeting, and digital integration.

Qualifications

• CA Pharmacist license required or eligible for CA licensure.
• Experience leading multi-site pharmacy operations in a large health system.
• Regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, budgeting, 340B management.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise-level leadership for pharmacy strategy and performance standards.
• Direct system-wide pharmacy operations and governance.
• Oversee formulary governance and medication-use strategy across services.
