Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse Breast Oncology Navigator for Northwest Community Hospital Infusion Center in Arlington Heights, IL. You will serve as the system-wide lead for breast navigation, standardizing workflows and coordinating care from diagnosis through treatment across seven hospitals.

The role emphasizes reducing time to treatment, mentoring site navigators, and meeting Commission on Cancer accreditation standards.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master’s in Nursing preferred.
Current State of Illinois RN license required.
CPR certification required (AHA).
OCN or CBCN preferred; must be obtained within two years of start date.
Minimum 3 years of oncology nursing experience with breast cancer.
Experience in care coordination or case management in oncology.
Proficiency with electronic health records; Epic preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as system-wide lead for breast oncology navigation; establish program standards.
Develop standardized breast navigation workflows, checklists, and patient contact protocols.
Collaborate with tumor board coordinators and site leaders to integrate navigation into care pathways.
Monitor system-level navigation metrics (time to appointment, retention, completion, satisfaction).
Lead navigation-related accreditation activities per Commission on Cancer standards.
Receive referrals from multiple sources and coordinate initial oncology appointment and workup.
Document navigation activity in the EMR accurately and timely.
Provide guidance and training to site navigators across Endeavor Health hospitals.
Identify gaps and drive corrective tools, training, or workflow changes.
