Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree: Business Administration or Healthcare Administration.
  • Master's Degree: Business Administration or related field, or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training and experience. (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience, focused on building and leading enterprise program/portfolio and project management teams.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience engaged in a consultative role.
  • Skilled in business transformation and innovation.
  • Experience leading organization strategy and change management.
  • Experience working with system and operational leadership teams, physicians, business partners, and other key stakeholders for business integration activities.
  • Experience aligning senior stakeholders across business and technology functions, leading governance forums and drive clear, timely decision-making; resolves cross-functional conflicts and competing priorities.
  • Experience delivering transformation within a dynamic, business-critical environment, able to balance speed, stability, and operational continuity as well as anticipate and mitigate business disruption risks.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and oversees PeaceHealth’s performance framework, including key performance areas and measures.
  • Partners with senior leaders and system executives to advance strategic business transformation priorities, enterprise portfolios, and organizational initiatives.

The System VP Business Transformation serves as the leader of PeaceHealth’s transformational improvement and project management services. Serves as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leaders and system executives, cultivating executive sponsorship and building champions to advance transformational change. Articulates a compelling change narrative that connects enterprise priorities meaningful outcomes for patients, caregivers, and the communities PeaceHealth serves. In partnership with community and regional leadership teams and system executives, drives organizational alignment, strengthens governance and decision-making processes, leads implementation of new models using ideas and best practices from external health systems, ensures project management effectively supports effective prioritization and implementation of system-wide projects, and ensures measurable progress toward PeaceHealth’s long-range strategic objectives and Mission. Leads PeaceHealth’s systemwide business transformation portfolio, overseeing large-scale strategic initiatives, enterprise project management, and change management efforts across PeaceHealth, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and long-term strategic goals. Accountable for the effective translation of business requirements into executable implementation plans, including resource optimization, governance, risk management, stakeholder engagement, change adoption, and transparent performance measurement and reporting. Brings a consultative leadership approach, serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across PeaceHealth on the design, execution, and sustainment of enterprise-wide business transformation initiatives. Identifies externally proven new practices to implement as part of PeaceHealth’s modernization and performance improvement. Provides organizational strategic oversight and governance for both emerging and established initiatives and business growth ventures. Develops and leads comprehensive and system-wide business transformation, change management, and enterprise project management functions, partnering with key stakeholders across system and operational services to maximize overall organizational, business ventures, and key business transformational investments. Fosters a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and change leadership, inspiring PeaceHealth leaders to embrace transformative solutions that enhance organizational sustainability, operational excellence, and the quality of care delivered to patients and communities.

Essential Functions
  • Designs and oversees PeaceHealth’s performance framework, including key performance areas and measures.
  • Partners with senior leaders and system executives to advance strategic business transformation priorities, enterprise portfolios, and organizational initiatives that support PeaceHealth’s long-term strategy and Mission. Leads the development, implementation, integration, and ongoing governance of key initiatives, growth strategies, and transformation efforts, ensuring clear alignment across stakeholders and business functions.
  • Oversees the transparent tracking, monitoring, and reporting of strategic priorities and portfolio performance, providing leaders with actionable insights to support informed decision-making and accountability. Ensures effective prioritization, resource alignment, execution, and delivery of business transformation initiatives, driving measurable outcomes within established timelines, budgets, and success metrics while supporting organizational sustainability, growth, and operational excellence.
  • Partners closely with senior leaders, system executives, and key stakeholders across PeaceHealth to provide strategic leadership and governance for new business initiatives, growth strategies, and transformational efforts. Oversees the development of implementation roadmaps, operating models, and change management strategies that enable successful adoption and sustainable outcomes across the organization.
  • Ensures initiatives are designed and executed with clearly defined business objectives, value propositions, performance measures, risk mitigation strategies, and cultural success indicators.
  • Manages the business transformation and enterprise project management teams to ensure achievement of established strategic goals, initiatives and desired performance outcomes while strengthening PeaceHealth’s capacity for innovation, growth, and organizational transformation.
  • Provides guidance to senior leaders and teams regarding new organizational transformation strategies and business integration-related work processes, critical success factors, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Partners collaboratively with senior leadership, business transformation team, enterprise project management team, system and operational leaders to provide business transformation guidance, expertise, accountability and ownership and ensuring sustainable organic integration-related change.
  • Provides transparent, executive-level reporting and governance oversight for PeaceHealth’s strategic priorities, transformation portfolio, and key organizational initiatives. Establishes and maintains clear performance metrics, milestones, and success measures to monitor progress, communicate outcomes, and support informed decision-making across leadership teams.
  • Oversees the development and implementation of governance structures, organizational portfolio, planning tools and reports that can be replicated as standard work for future business development, integration and transformational efforts. Ensures PeaceHealth adopts as singular and repeatable method of project management.
  • Provides training and guidance for leaders across the organization to support self-led use of performance management tools. While running a centralized PMO, creates structure that enables leaders to perform their own effective PMO services for smaller and localized (non-systemwide) initiatives and projects.
  • Advances innovation, new business and operating approaches (e.g., access, digital front door, infrastructure modernization) aligned with PeaceHealth’s long-term strategy. Ensures initiatives deliver demonstrable business value, including financial performance, operational efficiency, and patient/community impact.
  • Delegates effectively such that leaders across the organization readily accept leadership accountabilities for transformational initiatives. Builds partnerships with leaders across organization that promote growth mindset, creative idea generation and understanding that all leaders are an integral to the success of transformation initiatives.
  • Oversees the enterprise transformation portfolio, ensuring initiatives are prioritized, sequenced, resourced, and aligned with finance, operations and caregivers for sustainability.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $261,890 – $344,278.
