Job summary

Ubiquiti Inc. in Salt Lake City seeks an entry-level System Verification Engineer to join the System Quality Assurance team.

You will validate how UniFi products work together, from setup to everyday use across devices, apps, and cloud services, influencing what ships. You should have strong UX judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to explain confusing experiences to engineering and design teams worldwide.

Qualifications

• Strong UX judgment with ability to explain clear, intuitive interfaces.
• Excellent attention to detail across products and platforms.
• Interest in how connected products work as a system.
• Clear written and verbal communication across regions.
• Logical problem solving: reproduce issues and compare results.
• Willingness to work hands-on with devices and software.
• Ability to stay organized and follow through on testing.
• Familiarity with UniFi or other networking or smart home products.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts such as Wi‑Fi, IP addressing, switching.
• Experience with Generative AI and prompt engineering.

Responsibilities

• Test complete customer workflows across UniFi ecosystem.
• Evaluate setup, device adoption, navigation, everyday management, and recovery flows.
• Spot confusing layouts, inconsistent interactions, misleading status indicators, and missing feedback, then explain impact and suggest improvements.
• Help create and run manual test scenarios for new features and existing functionality.
• Set up and use real devices and lab environments to test integrations, updates, permissions, and behavior during connectivity or power interruptions.
• Reproduce customer issues and document clear steps, expected and actual behavior, and relevant diagnostic information.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, QA, and support teams across regions and time zones.
• Verify fixes, check for related problems, and communicate any remaining issues and their customer impact before every release.
