Job summary

SRG is seeking a Systems Turnover Coordinator to lead the coordination of system turnover activities across large-scale life sciences capital projects, with emphasis on electrical systems completion and MC. You will manage turnover from construction through commissioning, ensuring documentation, inspections, and readiness for handover to Operations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in systems turnover, commissioning, or capital projects within life sciences.
  • Electrical systems experience or strong electrical turnover knowledge.
  • Experience coordinating walkdowns, punch lists, and system readiness.
  • Understanding of construction to commissioning and turnover processes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure turnover activities comply with EHS and project requirements.
  • Define and manage acceptance criteria for system turnover.
  • Plan and coordinate turnover aligned to schedules and milestones.
  • Review turnover packages from contractors and teams.
  • Validate ITRs, CTPs, weld docs, vendor data, and quality records.
  • Maintain turnover databases and readiness metrics.
  • Coordinate MC walkdowns and inspections with multiple teams.
  • Develop and track punch lists to closure.
  • Identify turnover risks and quality issues; escalate as needed.
  • Serve as primary coordinator across Construction, Engineering, C&Q, Operations.
  • Provide regular reporting on progress and system readiness.
  • Support continuous improvement of turnover procedures.

Job description

The Systems Turnover Coordinator will lead the coordination of system turnover activities across large-scale life sciences capital projects, with a particular focus on electrical systems completion and mechanical completion (MC). This role coordinates and manages the system turnover process from construction through commissioning and qualification, ensuring all systems are fully documented, inspected, and ready for handover to Operations.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience supporting construction, system completion, commissioning, and turnover activities within pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated life sciences environments, with hands-on experience reviewing turnover packages, construction quality documentation, and vendor documentation, and coordinating walkdowns and punch list management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all turnover activities comply with company, project, and regulatory EHS requirements.
  • Define and manage acceptance criteria for system turnover, including equipment, documentation, and construction completion requirements.
  • Plan, prioritize, and coordinate turnover activities in alignment with project schedules and milestone dates.
  • Review, verify, and approve turnover packages received from contractors and project teams.
  • Validate installation records, Inspection and Test Records (ITRs), Construction Test Packages (CTPs), weld documentation, vendor data, and quality records for completeness and compliance.
  • Maintain turnover databases, documentation registers, completion status reports, and readiness metrics.
  • Coordinate Mechanical Completion (MC) walkdowns and system inspections with Construction, Engineering, Operations, Contractors, and Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q) teams.
  • Develop, manage, and track punch lists through closure to support system acceptance and turnover.
  • Identify turnover risks, documentation deficiencies, and construction quality issues; elevate concerns as required.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator between Construction, Engineering, C&Q, Operations, and Contractor organizations throughout the turnover process.
  • Provide regular reporting on turnover progress, system readiness, critical path items, and project performance metrics.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to turnover procedures, documentation management, and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience supporting systems turnover, commissioning, construction, or capital project execution within the life sciences industry.
  • Electrical systems experience, or a strong understanding of electrical construction and turnover processes.
  • Experience coordinating walkdowns, punch lists, system readiness assessments, and operational handovers.
  • Strong understanding of system completion processes from construction through commissioning and turnover.
