Job summary

Viasat is seeking a System Test Engineer to join our Government team in a hybrid role based in Germantown, MD (also Carlsbad, CA). You will develop test plans, procedures, and test cases, and support lab setups to test our latest generation government modem.

You will run manual and automated tests across software releases, collaborate with system engineering, software and other test teams, and contribute to test campaigns for satellite products, with up to 10% travel and eligibility for a Secret

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in crafting test requirements, test plans, test cases and methodologies for manufacturing that guide system development.
• Experience with lab equipment like oscilloscopes, power supplies, and boundary scan to evaluate and help fix systems.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Test Plans, Procedures, and customer needs for test hardware and automation.
• Shepherd test system deployment from hardware/software integration to operations.
• Run manual and automated tests and debug test setups and software configurations.
• Collaborate with system engineering, software development, project engineers and other test team members on test planning and execution.
