Job summary

Viasat is seeking a System Test Engineer - Temp to join our Government team. You will write test documentation, support lab setup, and perform testing on our latest generation government modem.

Candidates must have 5+ years crafting test plans and experience with lab equipment, networking, Linux, and OSI/L2/L3 concepts. US citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret Clearance are required. Up to 10% travel. Hybrid work at Carlsbad, CA or Germantown, MD.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience crafting test requirements, plans, cases and methodologies for manufacturing that guide system development.
• Solid understanding of both the technical and process aspects of product design and able to evaluate products from design docs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Test Plans, Procedures, and customer needs to guide test hardware and automation development.
• Shepherd test system deployment from hardware/software integration to operations.
• Run manual and automated tests against latest software releases and debug test setups and configurations.
• Collaborate with system engineering, software development, project engineers and other test team members on test planning and execution.
