General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. in Panama City Beach, Florida, is seeking a Systems Technician III to install, maintain and troubleshoot information systems and related hardware in a fast-paced enterprise IT environment.

You will provide end-user support, mentor junior technicians, and collaborate with project teams. A High School diploma with 5+ years or an Associate's with 3+ years of related experience is required. This onsite role is based in Panama City, FL.

• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology (desktop support)
• Participates in special projects as required

Responsibilities

• Provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applicationsand related peripheral hardware.
• Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques.
• Installs and configures applications software and related hardware (such as desktops, servers, and related peripherals like printers, scanners, hard drives, monitors and video teleconferencing hardware).
• Provides software and system troubleshooting and support.
• Provides technical support and training to end-users
• Provide guidance, work related leadership and mentoringto less-experienced technicians
• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned (desktop support)
• Participates in special projects as required

What you'll need to succeed

• Education: High School diploma and 5+ years of directly related experienceOR Associates Degree and 3+ years of directly related experience
• Experience: Must have experience supportingend-user computing and customer support
• Strong written and oral communication
• Excellent customer service skills are required
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Workstation, operating systems, and common applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, Office 365)
• Experience with desktop/laptop and application support
• Support for handheld devices ( iOS and Android)
• Solid understanding of basic networking principles
• Location: Must go into the office in Panama City, FL 5x a week

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $26.97 - $36.49. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
