Job summary

NextGen Security is seeking a System Support Specialist to join our fast-growing, dynamic team in Dallas. You will support our technical workforce, oversee large deployments, meet with customers onsite, and contribute to system programming and network design.

Some local travel to other offices and sites may be required. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in security, strong access control and video management experience, and solid networking/IT skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years configuring, installing and maintaining enterprise access control.
• Certifications: Genetec Omnicast and Honeywell Pro Watch.
• Experience with IDS (fiber and copper).
• IP-based Video Management Systems experience.
• Strong networking and IT knowledge.
• Excellent problem solving and communication.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and familiarity with local security codes.
• Basic SQL operations understanding.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Visio and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for our technical workforce.

• Intrusiondetection systems (IDS), both fiber and copper based.
• Enterprise-LevelVideoManagementSystems (IP-based).
• Networkingand IT knowledge.
• Superiorproblem solvingandcommunication skills.
• Workindependently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organization skills.
• Familiarizationwith local electronicsecuritycodesand industry standards.
• Understandingof basic SQL operations.

• Access ControlSystemVendorCertifications(some advanced certifications as well)inSWH CCure,Lenel,Software House,Genetec,ProWatch,and Avigilon.
• Video ManagementSystemVendorCertifications inGenetec,OnSSI,MaxPro, Avigilonand/or Milestone.
• Intrusion Detection System Vendor Certifications inBosch, DMP,Senstarand/or FFT.
• Experience incomputer operating systems,networkdesignand implementation.
• TWIC Cardholder.
• IndividualPrivate Security License holder.
