Collaborative work with firmware perception and applications engineers will shape robust, scalable software for autonomous robots. The role emphasizes hands-on verification on real hardware, multi-threaded debugging, and developing in Rust, Python, and C++.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production code experience in at least one compiled language (Rust, C++, Go, Java, or C).
• Experience with large, complex software systems over time.
• Operated and maintained a complex Linux system in production.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the robot OS (Ubuntu and Yocto) and system-level tools.
• Write and maintain software across Rust, Python, and C++.
• Bridge firmware and higher-level software, translating between layers.
• Build tools to improve fleet observability, stability, and performance at scale.
• Verify changes on-bot and assist other teams in the field.
• Debug multi-threaded issues across firmware, perception, and applications.
