Job summary

PG&E is seeking a System Protection Compliance professional for a hybrid role based in California. The position focuses on asset management, compliance documentation, and process improvement within the System Protection Compliance team.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate’s degree or commensurate experience in system protection and at least 3 years of related work, with 1 year in compliance. Strong knowledge of FERC/NERC/CAISO is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or commensurate experience in system protection or test department.
• 3 years of job-related experience including 1 year working in compliance.
• Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulations and laws such as FERC, NERC, CAISO.
• Ability to analyze data from several sources and identify, articulate, and present the business impact.

Responsibilities

• Collect evidence from various monitoring and asset inventory systems.
• Process and analyze evidence to verify compliance.
• Posting evidence and analysis results demonstrating compliance.
• Updating PG&E's Electric Corrective Action Program (ECAP) and other reporting tools with the status based on results of evidence review.
• Responds to vulnerability assessments; conduct reviews and close out assigned items.
• Validate assets and inventory as new equipment and systems are added or removed.
• Review upcoming regulatory standards and advise for upcoming requirements.
• Participates in reviewing and updating processes and procedures related to compliance.
• Identify and document control gaps in processes or projects.
• Provides guidance on the development of tools and processes that help the department efficiently and effectively manage compliance requirements.
• Travel approximately 25-50% with occasional overnight stays.
