Job summary

Qualifications

• Performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using Abaqus or ANSYS to evaluate structural integrity.
• Building physics-based analytical models to assess feasibility of concepts.
• Using 3D CAD software like NX or nTopology for product architectures.
• Designing full product architectures and integrating cross-functional disciplines.
• Designing and executing Design of Experiments (DOE) to characterize performance.
• Selecting materials and manufacturing processes to meet design requirements.
• Building physical prototypes to validate form, fit, and function.
• Organizing engineering data using visualization tools for trade-off decisions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with industrial design, hardware, software to refine product design.
• Develop initial product layouts and generate concepts for prototypes.
• Prototype, demonstrate and test to drive down-selection.
• Partner with vendors and manufacturing teams to optimize designs.
• Ensure design meets lifecycle requirements through analyses and testing.
