Job summary

UChicago Medicine seeks a strategic Director of System Pediatric Ambulatory Operations to oversee operational and financial performance for pediatric ambulatory practices, clinics, and infusion locations across the service line. You will lead a high-performing team, drive access expansion, and integrate care with clinical departments system-wide.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
10+ years of progressive leadership experience overseeing ambulatory/outpatient operations.
Strong understanding of ambulatory and infusion operations and scheduling.
Experience collaborating with physician leaders in a matrix environment.
Proven ability to lead change and mentor senior leadership teams using data and Lean methods.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations for multiple clinics and service lines across locations.
Lead and develop a leadership team aligned with quality, service, and financial goals.
Collaborate with revenue cycle and finance to optimize workflows and performance.
Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance, risk management, and patient safety across sites.
Manage provider onboarding, credentialing, and integration across the system.
