Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a System Layout Designer in Sterling Heights, MI to create and maintain system and plant layouts for assigned projects while adhering to CAD, design, build and safety specifications.

The role involves producing layouts with PLM releases, tooling placement, attending issue meetings, and onsite verification of equipment placement before releasing layouts to manufacturing. A bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–2 years related experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel onsite for verification and installation support.

Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains system layouts for assigned project.
• Ensures layouts include all equipment and comply with CAD, design, build and safety specs.
• Attends Open Issues Meetings with layout plots and coordinates with teams.
• Verifies equipment placement at plants onsite and offsite.
• Releases system layouts to manufacturing through PLM.
