Job summary

Automation Movers International is seeking a System Layout Designer to create and maintain detailed system and plant layouts for projects at both supplier and customer sites. The engineer will adhere to CAD, design, build, and safety specifications and release layouts through PLM.

Responsibilities include attending issues meetings, validating layouts on-site or off-site, and providing installation drawings while ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain system layouts for assigned projects, ensuring all elements are included.
• Adhere to CAD, design, build, and safety specifications; release layouts to manufacturing through PLM.
• Attend Open Issues Meetings and communicate latest layouts; notify team of changes to layouts.
• Occasionally visit plants on-site and off-site to verify equipment placement and locations.
• Provide installation drawings and support safety and environmental regulations.
• Assist in continuous improvement and follow the quality system.
