Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group seeks an experienced QA engineer focused on automotive software and hardware testing. You will analyze requirements, design, implement test specifications and cases for electric power inverters and driveline actuators, coordinate test teams, and develop integrated test environments and plans.

The role requires 5+ years in ISTQB testing, Python automation, and automotive testing tools, with strong CAN/UDS/XCP protocol experience; mentoring may be involved.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ISTQB certified tester experience or better.
• 5+ years of experience with requirements and test management tools (RQM/IBM Test Manager).
• 5+ years of experience with test automation using Python.
• 5+ years of manual and automated test execution for software qualification or system integration in automotive systems.
• 5+ years of experience with automotive testing and development tools from NI, dSPACE, ETAS or Vector.
• 5+ years of experience with automotive CAN, UDS and XCP protocols.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and review requirements, design and implement test specifications and test cases for software functional requirements in electric power inverters and driveline actuators.
• Coordinate test team activities to derive test environment requirements for validation in electrical test benches, HIL or automated environments, or system dyno tests.
• Plan and coordinate non-functional tests with system testing teams and project leads.
• Develop Test Plans for Integration and qualification; create and review Test Specifications.
• Develop Test Environment Requirements and Implementation; create plans and schedules and communicate changes.
• Maintain test reports, logs and issues; ensure traceability and metrics; adhere to AAM strategies, policies, and ISO/ASPICE processes.

Subsystem / Actuation Responsibilities

• Verification of the integrated hardware-software subsystem
• Tailoring and refinement of the integration and qualifiaction test strategies
• Planning and coordination of the testing activities for subsystem

Bachelor's or Master's degrees in Mechatronics, Electronics or Computer Science or similar background.

• 5+ years of working experience working as ISTQB certified tester foundation level or better
• 5+ years of working experience with requirements and test management tools. i.e: RQM / IBM Test Manager
• 5+ years of working experience with test automation using Python
• 5+ years of working experience in manual and automated test execution for software qualification or system integration for automotive systems
• 5+ years of working experience with automotive testing and development tools from NI, dSPACE, ETAS or Vector.
• 5+ years of working experience with automotive CAN, UDS and XCP protocols

Preferred

• Working with cyber secure communications for automotive applications
• Working with driveline systems or other automotive mechatronic actuators
• Proficiency using IBM Doors NG, RQM and RTC.
• Working with version control under GIT and IBM RTC
