BrightRidge in Johnson City, Tennessee, is seeking a System Engineering Manager to lead the System Engineering Department, ensuring a safe, reliable, and efficient electric transmission and distribution system.

You will manage engineering staff, direct system planning and analyses (load flow, reliability, protection coordination), oversee relay protection and SCADA integration, and guide capital improvement and asset management efforts while promoting continuous improvement and regulatory

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Ten years of progressively responsible experience in utility engineering.
Experience with C&I customers, SCADA systems, protective relays, system analysis, and capital planning.

Responsibilities

Lead System Engineering staff and coordinate workload.
Direct system planning, modeling, and studies (load flow, reliability, fault current).
Oversee relay protection programming, testing strategies, and standardization.
Oversee SCADA integration, and ensure modeling accuracy for safe operations.
Manage capital improvement planning, project prioritization, and asset management.
Promote continuous improvement and professional development within the department.
