Job summary

PPL Corporation seeks engineers at multiple levels to perform challenging engineering work in the transmission, distribution, and utilization of electrical energy. Positions range from Engineer I to Principal Engineer, requiring ABET-accredited degrees and progressive experience.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology.
ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree + 2 years engineering experience.
Degree plus 5 years, or master's with 3 years, or PhD with 2 years.
Degree plus 10 years, or master's with 8 years, or PhD with 7 years.

Responsibilities

Assists in work on smaller engineering projects and provides cost-effective designs.
Builds relationships to facilitate knowledge transfer and effective presentations.
Works under supervision in field and home office to develop competencies.
Gathers and correlates engineering data using defined procedures.
Expands technical and business skills under guidance.
Assists in developing new procedures or equipment recommendations.
All positions involve safety-sensitive driving as needed.
May be assigned an Electric Utilities emergency and storm role and after-hours work.
Work location may be on-site, remote, or hybrid as determined by the company.
