Job summary

Westernacher Solutions GmbH in Deutschland sucht System Engineer (w/m/d) für die Überwachung, den Betrieb und die Weiterentwicklung komplexer Infrastrukturen. Die Position ist remote in Deutschland oder an Standorten wie Berlin, Fulda oder Heidelberg möglich und in Vollzeit zu besetzen.

Sie arbeiten an sicherheitskritischen Plattformen im öffentlichen Sektor, automatisieren Deployments und gestalten moderne Operations-Prozesse mit GitLab-basierten CI/CD-Pipelines.

Qualifications

• Abschluss in Informatik oder vergleichbare Qualifikation.
• Mehrjährige Praxis in Infrastruktur-/Anwendungsbetrieb.
• Kenntnisse in Monitoring-/Logging-Lösungen (Prometheus, Elastic Stack, Icinga).
• Erfahrung mit Konfigurationsmanagement-Tools (Ansible, Puppet).
• Netzwerkthemen (Load Balancing, Routing, Firewalls).
• Erfahrung in Cloud-/On-Premise-Umgebungen.
• Sehr gute Deutsch- und gute Englischkenntnisse.

Responsibilities

• Betrieb, Design und kontinuierliche Weiterentwicklung von Infrastruktur- und Anwendungslandschaften.
• Sicherer Betrieb durch Monitoring, Fehleranalyse und nachhaltige Problemlösung.
• 3rd-Level-Support bei komplexen technischen Fragestellungen.
• Sicherheitsmaßnahmen umsetzen und Last-/Performance-Tests durchführen.
• CI/CD-Pipelines aufbauen, optimieren und betreiben (z. B. GitLab).
• Automatisierung von Deployments und operativen Prozessen zur Steigerung von Qualität und Effizienz.
• Lifecycle-Management über den gesamten Software-Lifecycle hinweg.
• Enge, agile Zusammenarbeit mit Entwicklung und Betrieb.

Would you like to operate and further develop complex infrastructures and applications and ensure their reliable operation? At Westernacher Solutions, you will work on highly available and security-critical platforms in the context of justice and public administration. You are responsible for the stable operation of infrastructure and application landscapes, continuously develop them further, and support the automation of modern operations and deployment processes. What you bring...

• A completed degree in computer science, business informatics or a comparable education or qualification.
• Several years of practical experience in infrastructure and/or application operations.
• Good knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus, Elastic Stack, Icinga or comparable tools.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet or similar technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of network topics such as load balancing, routing or firewall configurations.
• Experience operating applications in cloud and/or on-premise environments.
• Very good Linux skills, for example with Ubuntu or CentOS.
• Knowledge of PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) is an advantage.
• Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines as well as in version control, ideally with GitLab.
• Very good German and good English skills, spoken and written.
