Job summary

Frontier Power USA is seeking a System Engineer to design, integrate, and deliver utility-scale battery energy storage projects. You will coordinate interfaces between battery blocks, PCS, MV systems, plant controls, protection, SCADA, and balance-of-plant equipment from multiple OEMs.

The role requires a BS in electrical/power systems engineering and 3+ years in power systems, with ability to review drawings, specs, and data sheets. Travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in power generation, substations, renewable energy, energy storage, or related industrial power systems.
• Working knowledge of medium-voltage equipment, transformers, switchgear, protection, metering, controls, and communications.
• Ability to read and review single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment drawings, and technical specs.
• Experience coordinating technical interfaces with manufacturers, EPCs, utilities, or customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system architecture, single-line diagrams, and technical requirements for utility-scale BESS projects.
• Coordinate integration of third-party battery blocks, PCS, transformers, switchgear, protection, metering, EMS, and SCADA.
• Review OEM drawings, data sheets, compliance documents, and interfaces.
• Prepare equipment specs, interface documents, and design calculations.
• Support equipment selection and technical evaluations for compatibility, safety, and project needs.
• Collaborate with OEMs, EPCs, utilities, customers, and internal teams to resolve questions.
