Job summary

Brose New Boston, Inc. in Michigan is seeking a quality specialist to be the main contact for customer quality issues during series production and to drive corrective actions. You will ensure compliance with IATF16949 and AIAG standards and conduct regular warranty reviews.

The role requires 3–5 years in Seat System Assembly and a Bachelor's degree. Responsibilities include using SAP QM & TopQ, tracking complaints, performing process capability studies, and contributing to continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3–5 years related experience in Seat System Assembly.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems including IATF16949.
  • Knowledge of AIAG standards (PPAP, MSA, FMEA, LPA) & CQI standards.
  • Proficient in SAP QM Module.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office & Minitab/QS-Stat.
  • Must be a strong communicator and work well in teams.

Responsibilities

  • Main contact for customer for all quality related issues during series production.
  • Ensure timely implementation of corrective actions for all customer issues (0-km & warranty).
  • Ensure compliance of quality to all required standards including customer specific requirements.
  • Conduct regular warranty reviews ensuring corrective and preventive actions for any warranty concerns.
  • Facilitate error prevention, continuous improvement and problem solving by utilization of corporate tools (Problem Management Process, Top Quality reporting, warranty, and field reviews).
  • Regular update of internal, customer and supplier complaints in SAP Quality Module & TopQ Sharepoint.
  • Perform process capability studies on an ongoing basis to validate especial characteristics.
  • Evaluate failure risk analysis with production and development team for new launches.
  • Validate, document, and publish lessons learned from positive and negative experiences, consolidate those lessons into Plant Standards and communicate these up to the North American and Global Lessons-Learned Committees.
  • Develop and perform monthly quality metrics reporting to plant and corporate management.
  • Perform Engineering Change evaluation and tracking reports for plant and Nafta.
  • Carry out ongoing scrap analysis and scrap reduction activities.

Your Profile
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three to Five years related experience and/or training in Seat System Assembly; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems including IATF16949
  • Knowledge of AIAG standards (PPAP, MSA, FMEA, LPA)& relevant CQI standards
  • Proficient knowledge in SAP QM Module.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office & Minitab/QS-Stat
  • Must be a strong communicator and work well in teams. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
