Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering is seeking a System Engineer in Oak Ridge, TN, to support machining center installations and production operations. The role requires an ABET‑accredited engineering degree and 5+ years of experience, with a Q clearance preferred for work in NRC/DOE environments.

Strong communication skills and the ability to interface with clients, production and support teams are essential.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited BS degree in engineering with 5+ years of relevant professional experience or an MS degree in engineering.
• Experience in NRC/DOE regulated environments is desirable.
• Understanding of Conduct of Engineering, Conduct of Operations, and Conduct of Maintenance in nuclear facilities.

Responsibilities

• Support new machining center installations and existing machining production operations, including configuration management, paperwork, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.
• Perform troubleshooting and improvement activities across systems and equipment.
• Apply systems and equipment expertise to resolve technical issues in cooperation with related disciplines.
