Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an experienced IT Operations leader to oversee employee technology support, security administration, and SOC 2 compliance within a remote-first life sciences technology environment.

You will manage endpoint devices, identity access controls, and SaaS applications while coordinating with HR, Finance, and Operations to strengthen the IT foundation for growth. This role emphasizes hands-on support with strategic leadership across a distributed team.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years in IT operations, systems engineering, IT support, or security operations.
• Experience supporting remote or hybrid environments.
• Knowledge of endpoint management, identity management, and SaaS administration.
• Experience with Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile device management.
• Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, HITRUST, HIPAA or similar frameworks is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for employee IT support and access requests.
• Manage onboarding/offboarding, provisioning, and access control.
• Administer internal systems and SaaS applications, oversee user access and configurations.
• Oversee endpoint environments across Windows, macOS, Google Workspace, and mobile devices.

Job description

In this role, you will oversee internal IT operations, employee technology support, and security administration within a growing life sciences technology environment. You will ensure employees have access to reliable, secure, and well-managed systems while strengthening the organization’s IT infrastructure and compliance practices. Combining hands‑on technical support with operational leadership, you will manage endpoint devices, identity and access controls, SaaS applications, and technology vendors. You will also play an important role in supporting SOC 2 audits and maintaining security controls across the organization. Working closely with HR, Finance, Operations, and leadership, you will improve internal processes and employee technology experiences. This is an opportunity to build and maintain the technology foundation needed to support business growth in a remote‑first environment.

Accountabilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee IT support, device troubleshooting, and access requests.
• Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including account provisioning, permission assignments, hardware configuration, and access removal.
• Administer internal systems and SaaS applications, overseeing user access, configurations, and routine troubleshooting.
• Manage endpoint environments across Windows, macOS, Google Workspace, and mobile devices.
• Oversee identity and access management processes, including multi‑factor authentication (MFA), role‑based access control (RBAC), account reviews, and password security.
• Maintain accurate hardware and software inventories, technology asset records, and system documentation.
• Coordinate IT procurement, software licensing, renewals, and relationships with external technology vendors.
• Support SOC 2 and other compliance initiatives through evidence collection, access reviews, policy development, and internal control documentation.
• Assist with cloud infrastructure, endpoint security, and monitoring tools to maintain a secure technology environment.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Operations, and leadership to address employee technology requirements and support workforce lifecycle processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, technology tools, security practices, and the overall employee experience.
• Coordinate with external partners and specialized technical teams to resolve complex security, networking, and infrastructure issues.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in IT operations, systems engineering, IT support, or security operations.
• Experience providing internal technology support in remote or hybrid working environments.
• Strong knowledge of endpoint management, identity management solutions, and SaaS administration.
• Practical understanding of Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile device management.
• Familiarity with tools such as JumpCloud, Microsoft Intune, JAMF, Active Directory, Okta, Duo, or comparable platforms.
• Strong understanding of SOC 2 requirements and supporting activities, including access reviews, evidence collection, and control documentation.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and security fundamentals.
• Excellent troubleshooting, technical documentation, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with ticketing platforms, IT asset management, and internal support workflows.
• Experience managing small IT environments while taking ownership of a broad range of technical and operational responsibilities.
• Strong customer service orientation and a genuine commitment to providing effective employee support.
• Excellent communication and follow‑through, with the ability to collaborate across departments and technical teams.
• Highly organized, proactive, and detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Practical, solutions‑focused mindset with a strong sense of accountability.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, although equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
• Previous experience leading or managing IT operations or security‑related support functions is preferred.
• Relevant certifications in cybersecurity, IT service management, or compliance are advantageous.
• Experience supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001, HITRUST, HIPAA, or comparable regulatory and security frameworks is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in healthcare, life sciences, hospitality, or other regulated industries is a plus.
