Role Overview
The Systems Administrator will oversee all aspects of corporate IT—including endpoint management, identity and access controls, cybersecurity, vendor management, helpdesk operations, incident response, and compliance with HIPAA and HITRUST/SOC 2 controls.
You’ll support a distributed workforce (virtual and in-person), manage a fleet of company-owned devices, and ensure our systems are secure, resilient, and built to scale. This role combines hands-on technical work with strategic planning and cross-functional leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Systems Management
- Own and manage the IT infrastructure across cloud and physical environments.
- Administer identity and access management (IAM) systems, role-based permissions, and onboarding/offboarding workflows.
- Maintain secure networking configurations for clinics, partner sites, and remote employees.
- Ensure device lifecycle management (provisioning, patching, updates, decommissioning) for laptops, mobile devices, and specialized clinical hardware.
Security, Privacy & Compliance
- Ensure all IT operations comply with HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC 2 Type II frameworks.
- Maintain and improve security policies, procedures, SOPs, and audit evidence.
- Lead incident response processes including investigation, documentation, and remediation.
- Conduct regular system and access reviews, risk assessments, and vulnerability scans.
- Collaborate with Security, Compliance, and Operations teams to meet regulatory and client requirements.
Helpdesk & Technical Support
- Lead and scale IT support for both remote and onsite staff across multiple time zones.
- Create and optimize helpdesk workflows and SLAs for timely issue resolution.
- Develop knowledge base documentation, onboarding materials, and training resources.
- Manage relationships with software, hardware, telecommunications, and infrastructure vendors.
- Evaluate, implement, and optimize IT tools (MDM, SSO/IAM, endpoint protection, remote management, ticketing systems).
- Oversee asset tracking and ensure accurate inventory of all company-owned devices.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure vendors meet compliance and security requirements.
Strategic Planning & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Operations, Clinical, Growth, and Finance leaders to understand workflow needs and deliver IT solutions that enable performance.
- Develop a multi-year IT roadmap aligned with organizational scale and security maturity.
- Lead or support major IT projects including system migrations, integrations, EHR connectivity, and automation solutions.
- Analyze IT data, metrics, and trends to drive continual improvement.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of IT experience, with at least 2 years in an IT manager or lead role.
- Experience supporting remote + in-person teams, ideally across multiple states.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA, PHI handling, and healthcare IT operations.
- Hands‑on experience with HITRUST and/or SOC 2 Type II compliance programs.
- Expertise in cloud administration (O365, Azure AD, or similar).
- Strong endpoint management skills (MDM solutions such as Kandji, Intune, Jamf, Mosyle, etc.).
- Proven experience building secure, scalable onboarding/offboarding workflows.
- Familiarity with EHR integrations, secure messaging tools, ticketing systems, and cybersecurity solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with non‑technical teams.
- This role requires the ability to travel when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in digital health, telehealth, or a multi‑site healthcare services organization.
- Background in configuring or managing HITRUST controls and audit evidence.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure design for hybrid clinical environments.
- Experience with automation tools, scripting, or workflow orchestration (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Terraform, MDM scripting).
- Project management or ITIL certification is a plus.

The compensation range for this role is $70,000 - $85,000 annually.
