Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
- Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure delivery of production systems compatible with the defined architecture(s) – DoDAF and Service‑oriented Architecture.
- Assist with allocation of requirements to hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
- Coordinate the resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews that require cross‑discipline coordination.
- Perform analysis of technical alternatives for a project and make preliminary recommendations.
Requirements
- Correlate events/telemetry visible in dashboards to system issues.
- Rationalize and document system behavior in the presence of system issues; derive insights from the data.
- Design experiments to isolate and characterize specific types of behavior.
- Collaborate with analytic developers to capture needs for analytics.
- Monitor dashboards for abnormal behavior.
- Must have Linux experience, experience designing technical experiments, an analytic mindset, understanding of system telemetry and its correlation to system operation, failure rate, and reliability analysis of components, and experience with complex HPC systems.
- Candidate must have an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- High School Diploma or GED plus 24 years of general systems engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline plus 20 years of systems engineering experience.
- Master’s degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline plus 18 years of systems engineering experience.
- PhD in a qualified engineering field or related discipline plus 18 years of systems engineering experience.
Salary and Compensation
The proposed salary range for this position in Maryland is $180,000 to $240,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors, with annual reviews to ensure equity across the company and industry.
