Job summary

Stratum Networks is seeking a Senior Storage Engineer to lead data migration to Microsoft 365 and OneDrive, and to manage NetApp storage across on-prem and cloud environments. This role requires a TS/SCI with polygraph and a strong background in storage architecture for DoD/IC clients.

You will design migration strategies, optimize storage performance, and ensure regulatory compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet mission-critical objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree with 14 years experience or HS/GED with 19 years experience in systems engineering.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
• Strong experience migrating data to Microsoft 365 & OneDrive.
• Extensive NetApp storage experience including configuration and tuning.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II security certification required on submission.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

• Lead the migration of data to Microsoft 365 (M365) and OneDrive, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to business operations.
• Design and implement strategies for migrating data from on-premises NetApp storage to M365 and OneDrive, adhering to best practices and security standards.
• Manage and maintain global NetApp storage solutions, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor storage performance and capacity utilization, implementing proactive measures to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scopes, and deliver storage solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Provide technical expertise and support for storage-related issues, including incident resolution and root cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Implement and enforce data management policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to storage and cloud computing, evaluating and recommending enhancements as appropriate.

Salary: $119k - $247k depending on experience and contract.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree with 14 years experience or HS/GED with 19 years experience in systems.engineering.

Required Skills:

• Experience with data replication, backup, and disaster recovery strategies in both cloud and on-premises environments
• Expertise in migrating data to Microsoft 365 (M365) and OneDrive, with a solid understanding of cloud migration methodologies
• In-depth knowledge of NetApp storage systems, including configuration, administration, and performance tuning
• Proven experience as a Senior Storage Engineer or similar role, specializing in NetApp storage solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex storage issues
• Candidate shall have appropriate certification in compliance with the requirements of the DoD 8570 Information Assurance Category IAT Level II. Security+ or higher cert required upon submission.
