Job summary

TRUE Community Credit Union in Michigan is seeking a System Engineer – Database & Virtualization to design, optimize, and secure our enterprise database environments and VDI solutions across on-prem and cloud platforms.

You will partner with infrastructure, security, and data teams to ensure high availability, disaster recovery readiness, and continuous improvement through automation and best practices in a hybrid IT environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or a related technology role.
• Strong hands-on experience with both relational and non-relational databases (Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or similar).
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience supporting VDI solutions such as Azure Virtual Desktop, VMware Horizon, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, backup and recovery strategies, and infrastructure security best practices.
