Job summary

TrustThink is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the engineering and modernization of cryptographic systems across the lifecycle—from architecture, modeling, and simulation to software integration, testing, and deployment.

Responsibilities include designing architectures, developing MBSE artifacts, performing modeling/simulation, and advancing PQC crypto‑agile architectures; the role also involves implementing C++ software and supporting integration and deployment for national security

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• At least 4 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with system architecture, interfaces and modeling/diagrams.
• Experience with SysML/MBSE, modeling or simulation.
• Knowledge of cryptography, cybersecurity, or secure systems.

TrustThink is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the engineering and modernization of cryptographic systems. You'll work across the lifecycle, from architecture, modeling, and simulation through software integration, testing, and deployment.

Responsibilities may include:

• Designing and documenting system architectures, interfaces, and operational flows
• Developing system models, diagrams, and engineering artifacts using SysML and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices
• Performing modeling and simulation to analyze system behavior, interactions, and performance
• Working with cryptographic systems, key management, and secure communications
• Supporting cryptographic modernization efforts, including the transition to post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and crypto-agile architectures
• Developing and integrating application software, particularly in C++
• Supporting integration, testing, and deployment of new capabilities
• Solving complex systems problems in support of national security missions
• Working with specialized cryptographic equipment and key-loading environments

Qualifications:

• B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• At least 4 years of relevant engineering experience
• Experience with system architecture, development processes, interfaces, and technical modeling/diagramming
• Experience with SysML, MBSE, modeling, or simulation
• Working knowledge of cryptography, cybersecurity, or secure systems

Experience with SKLs, ECUs, key management systems, cryptographic devices, or PQC is a plus, but not required. The position level will be based on experience.
