Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking deeply technical engineers to own and scale the EC2 Manufacturing Infrastructure Services. You will design, build, and operate platform software that keeps hardware healthy across AWS manufacturing sites and data centers.

You will focus on reliability, automation, and scalable architecture, collaborating with teams and partners to deliver robust infrastructure aligned with customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• Experience with at least one modern language (C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby).
• 3+ years designing or architecting scalable systems.
• Linux OS experience and network troubleshooting or networking admin background.
• Experience with automation or scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Bash, etc.).
• 3+ years of systems/network/SRE experience.
• Networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, segmentation.
• Experience with enterprise-scale infrastructure or cloud programs.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability of manufacturing networking, systems, and platform infrastructure across AWS sites.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code to stand up and manage services at new and existing sites.
• Build monitoring, alerting, and anomaly detection to catch infra failures early.
• Develop troubleshooting tools and runbooks for rapid diagnosis and resolution.
• Consult with ODM/CM IT teams on network design and infra standards across partners.
• Drive site expansion readiness within onboarding timelines.
• Implement security and operational best practices for manufacturing environments.
• Contribute to architecture decisions for evolving manufacturing platforms.
• Develop systems enabling scalable operation of manufacturing infrastructure.
