Job summary

Amazon Web Services seeks a Senior Industrialization Engineer to translate product design into scalable manufacturing workflows. You will develop detailed processes, stand up production lines, and lead ramp-ups at contract manufacturers to meet takt time, OEE, and yield targets.

You will collaborate with design, quality, and CM teams, identifying manufacturability risks early and driving continuous improvement across sites. Expect significant cross‑site coordination and travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other STEM field.
• 6+ years of manufacturing or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
• 5+ years of experience managing large-scale contract manufacturer (CM) relationships.
• Experience defining manufacturing procedures, standards, or process packages.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Process Development: develop and document the detailed manufacturing process, workstation definition, work content, line balancing, and takt time.
• Capacity & Scale Planning: build capacity models and scaling approach for each product across sites.
• Production Line Build & Ramp: stand up production lines at CM and lead ramp-up to serialized production.
• Tooling, Fixturing & Automation: specify and validate tooling, fixturing, and automation/robotics for volume.
• Process Analysis & Optimization: use simulation and analysis to identify bottlenecks and drive yield improvement.
• CM Execution & Qualification: partner with CM teams to qualify processes and ensure consistent output.
