Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a System Development Engineer II for Foundational Security Services in Seattle to own the engineering and operational health of critical systems at scale. You will write high-quality code, automate workflows, and drive improvements that reduce toil, improve resilience, and lower costs.

Collaboration across teams and mentoring newer engineers are key parts of the role. Experience with distributed systems, AWS, and CI/CD is valued as you design and review robust

Formación

• Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.

Responsabilidades

• Design and deliver technology solutions that improve resiliency, performance, and cost-effectiveness of your team's systems, balancing constraints and choosing the most appropriate technology.
• Identify and resolve ambiguous problems and architectural deficiencies by performing root cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes.
• Develop and maintain automation, metrics, and monitoring to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews, operational readiness reviews, and post-incident analyses, coaching peers on risk and best practices.
• Write clear documentation and runbooks and evaluate opportunities to integrate generative AI tools to augment productivity and quality.
