Job summary

Amazon Fulfillment Technologies is seeking a System Dev Engineer to join the team that supports database-driven tooling for critical fulfillment operations. You will diagnose and fix production issues, enhance monitoring, and automate daily operational tasks while collaborating with multiple groups across Amazon.

Ideal candidates bring strong programming experience in Python/Ruby/Java/C++ and a background in distributed systems, networking, and storage.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• 2+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and fix production software issues.
• Develop and enhance monitoring solutions.
• Perform software maintenance and configuration; implement fixes for internal code (Perl, Ruby, Python).
• Build and develop tools to automate daily operational activities.
• Collaborate with multiple Development, Operations and IT Support groups to resolve high-impact issues.
