Job summary

Amazon's Fulfillment Planning and Execution team builds mission-critical, globally scaled systems to translate demand into actionable plans for material procurement and rack landing. You will own and improve systems powering AWS infrastructure fulfillment, collaborating across demand planning and partner teams to ensure reliability and explainability.

The role emphasizes ownership, bias for action, and delivering results that scale for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate large-scale distributed systems that power AWS infrastructure fulfillment planning and execution.
• Architect solutions that detect and explain deviations between build plans and execution outcomes, enabling proactive intervention.
• Write high-quality, modular, testable code and set the standard for engineering excellence on the team.
• Solve complex architecture and business problems with extensible, scalable solutions built on native AWS services.
• Formally mentor engineers on design, coding, operational excellence, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with demand planning, supply chain operations, and partner engineering teams in a global environment.
